A Jungle revivial is brewing and (thee) Mike B and Nate Day have got a lot to say about it. Their recent 90’s style jungle remixes as Camo UFOs for The Count and Sinden's “Mega”, and Major Lazer's “Pon De Floor” have been blowing up parties worldwide and received radio play on the world renowned BBC Radio 1 platform by Annie Mac and Toddla T. They have received the stamp of approval from Fool's Gold and Mad Decent, two of the most respected and innovative independent record labels and have official remixes in the bag for Mike Posner , The Hardy Boys, Nouveau Yorican, Them Jeans and South Rakkas Crew.People are ready, and these two seasoned dj/producers and their deep crates of vinyl display their love for old school UK jungle and hardcore and take it back to a time when amen breaks, techno stabs, and fat basslines ruled the dancefloor while adding their own modern twist to it.They are currently working on an EP with Sinden for his Grizzly imprint and turning out tons more original material and remix work.

Well, summer 2010 is already looking to be quite crackin'. In addition to the return of our infamous Jungle Rave party (more info on that soon!), the Bedlam cru, in addition to bringing in some of the finest talent in drum and bass, is doing an all old skool night in August (Friday the 13th!) with yours truly on opening duties alongside the one and only Jason Magin. OG jungle dudes Dara and DB of Breakbeat Science headline. Gonna be nuts!

I don't know when this flyer is from as there is no date, and the same goes for the mix it accompanies as my good friend (who, like me, also happens to be a card carrying member of the Geriatric Raver Society ;) Celestial donated to the blog. She cautioned the tape might not even play. But lucky for us it did! Judging from the track selection (Origin Unknown's "Valley Of The Shadows", "The Dark Stranger", Goldie's "Fury", and DJ Crystl's "King Of The Beats" all make appearances, among plenty more stormers), I'm guessing that the tape (and most likely flyer) hail from maybe late 1993, early 1994. The mix is a bit dark, but mixed impeccably, as expected. Enjoy. :) Brings back memories.
