OK so it's safe to say I've got a nice grip of old mixtapes by both Karl K and Kaos, so expect many more, but rest assured I've got some bits by J. Smooth, Boy Blue, Trace and a few of my own first tapes coming up real soon. Also, keep an ear out for Episode 2 of the Drumskool215 podcast. Anyways, on to the business at hand. This mix, which hit the streets in summer of 1995, remains an all time favorite of mine - it's superbly mixed and programmed, spanning a multitude of styles and tunes, from the likes of LTJ Bukem, Photek, Aphrodite, Dillinja, Lemon D, DJ Crystl, Q Project, Source Direct, and if memory serves I recall that side 1 of this mix kicks off with a very early DJ Kaos original? No full tracklist (though I could probably work it out if I had time) but nonetheless the mix is wicked stuff. Check it.

Keep in mind these are ripped from very old cassette tapes, the sound quality is not the best! Click the play button to stream, or to download: just click on the "divshare" logo. On that next page, click the "download" button. You'll get a 15 second countdown, then it takes you to the same "download" screen again. Click "download" again, it will prompt you to open or save. Save and import into itunes, winamp, etc, and viola! Whatever way you do it, enjoy!

Hey everyone! Hope this blog finds you well. (This blogging thing is actually getting out of control at this point, I'm writing for like 5 of them - even though I don't write anything cause I'm a lazy procrastinator, lol.)

Recently I was given (from my amazingly awesome and beautiful better half) this nifty little iKey M3 digital recorder, so now begins the massive effort to digitally encode all my old cassette tapes (and records), mostly of Philly jungle and drum and bass sets by likes of DJ Trace, Karl K, Kaos, Boy Blue, J. Smooth, Magin Boo, Art Cuebik, Armen, myself, among others.... we'll see what we can get permission to post here! ;)

I'm also looking for contributors, so if you've got some old mixes or tracks you'd like to share please send them my way. Or if you're an old skool DJ and have some old sets you'd like us to post please get in touch! And bookmark us! And tell your friends!
